Top Ten Tuesday. 13.12.16.
This meme is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
Good morning everyone ! So far I’m very
happy to be back again. I like getting back to the memes and I feel more
up-to-date and in touch with The World of Books this way. I still have some
troubles with formulating book reviews.. But I hope that will be on track soon
as well.
So once again we have another Top Ten
Tuesday ! I really liked this week’s topic; Top Ten
Books I'm Looking Forward To For The First Half Of 2017, and
luckily I recently updated my to-read list for 2017 (sort out by release month)
so that turned out very convenient for putting together this list ^^ It stays
difficult, because there are so many great books that are being released next
year, but I’m quite pleased with my list, so let’s get started ! Oh and the
numbering is on release date, starting at the beginning of the year 2017.
03.01. Wayfarer.
All Etta
Spencer wanted was to make her violin debut when she was thrust into a
treacherous world where the struggle for power could alter history. After
losing the one thing that would have allowed her to protect the Timeline, and
the one person worth fighting for, Etta awakens alone in an unknown place and
time, exposed to the threat of the two groups who would rather see her dead
than succeed. When help arrives, it comes from the last person Etta ever
expected—Julian Ironwood, the Grand Master’s heir who has long been presumed
dead, and whose dangerous alliance with a man from Etta’s past could put them
both at risk.
Meanwhile, Nicholas and Sophia are racing through time in order to locate Etta and the missing astrolabe with Ironwood travelers hot on their trail. They cross paths with a mercenary-for-hire, a cheeky girl named Li Min who quickly develops a flirtation with Sophia. But as the three of them attempt to evade their pursuers, Nicholas soon realizes that one of his companions may have ulterior motives.
As Etta and Nicholas fight to make their way back to one another, from Imperial Russia to the Vatican catacombs, time is rapidly shifting and changing into something unrecognizable… and might just run out on both of them.

24.01. Eleventh Grave in Moonlight.
A typical
day in the life of Charley Davidson involves cheating husbands, missing people,
errant wives, philandering business owners, and oh yeah...demons, hell hounds,
evil gods, and dead people. Lots and lots of dead people. As a part time
Private Investigator and full-time Grim Reaper, Charley has to balance the
good, the bad, the undead, and those who want her dead. In this eleventh
installment, Charley is learning to make peace with the fact that she is a
goddess with all kinds of power and that her own daughter has been born to save
the world from total destruction. But the forces of hell are determined to see
Charley banished forever to the darkest corners of another dimension. With the
son of Satan himself as her husband and world-rocking lover, maybe Charley can
find a way to have her happily ever after after all.
31.01. Long Way Home.
Seventeen-year-old Violet has always been expected to sit back and let
the boys do all the saving.
It’s the code her father, a member of the Reign of Terror motorcycle club, raised her to live by. Yet when her dad is killed carrying out Terror business, Violet knows it’s up to her to do the saving. To protect herself, and her vulnerable younger brother, she needs to cut all ties with the club—including Chevy, the boy she’s known and loved her whole life.
But when a rival club comes after Violet, exposing old secrets and making new threats, she’s forced to question what she thought she knew about her father, the Reign of Terror, and what she thinks she wants. Which means re-evaluating everything: love, family, friends . . . and forgiveness.
Caught in the crosshairs between loyalty and freedom, Violet must decide whether old friends can be trusted—and if she’s strong enough to be the one person to save them all.

31.01. Wires and Nerve.
In her
first graphic novel, bestselling author Marissa Meyer extends the world of the
Lunar Chronicles with a brand-new, action-packed story about Iko, the android
with a heart of (mechanized) gold. When rogue packs of wolf-hybrid soldiers
threaten the tenuous peace alliance between Earth and Luna, Iko takes it upon
herself to hunt down the soldiers' leader. She is soon working with a handsome
royal guard who forces her to question everything she knows about love,
loyalty, and her own humanity. With appearances by Cinder and the rest of the
Rampion crew, this is a must-have for fans of the bestselling series.
14.02. Happily Ever After.
The end of
one story is often the beginning of another. Hollywood heartthrob Brian Oliver
and his Cinderella princess Ellamara Rodriguez have finally found love outside
the digital world. But leaving their anonymity behind creates a whole new set
of obstacles for the nation’s new favorite sweethearts. With the stress of
Brian’s fame and the pressures of a new relationship weighing down on them, the
It Couple quickly begins to wonder if they can hold on to their newfound joy,
or if maybe happily ever after is only a fairy tale.
07.03. Traitor to the Throne.
Mere months
ago, gunslinger Amani al'Hiza fled her dead-end hometown on the back of a
mythical horse with the mysterious foreigner Jin, seeking only her own freedom.
Now she's fighting to liberate the entire desert nation of Miraji from a
bloodthirsty sultan who slew his own father to capture the throne.
When Amani finds herself thrust into the epicenter of the regime—the Sultan's palace—she's determined to bring the tyrant down. Desperate to uncover the Sultan's secrets by spying on his court, she tries to forget that Jin disappeared just as she was getting closest to him, and that she's a prisoner of the enemy. But the longer she remains, the more she questions whether the Sultan is really the villain she's been told he is, and who’s the real traitor to her sun-bleached, magic-filled homeland.
Forget everything you thought you knew about Miraji, about the rebellion, about djinni and Jin and the Blue-Eyed Bandit. In Traitor to the Throne, the only certainty is that everything will change.

From #1 New
York Times bestselling author duo Erin Watt comes the addictive contemporary

to be his fake girlfriend.
Meet Oakley Ford-teen celebrity, renowned pop star, child of famous movie stars, hottie with millions of fangirls… and restless troublemaker. On the surface he has it all, but with his home life disintegrating, his music well suddenly running dry, and the tabloids having a field day over his outrageous exploits, Oakley's team decides it's time for an intervention. The result: an image overhaul, complete with a fake girlfriend meant to show the world he's settled down.
Enter seventeen-year-old Vaughn Bennett-devoted sister, part-time waitress, the definition of "normal." So what if she thinks Oakley's a shallow, self-centered jerk? It's not like they're going to fall for each other in real life…right?
