FRIDAY 56 & Book Beginnings. 18.03.16.

Good Friday everyone ! Almost weekend ^^ For me and my husband, our “vacation” is almost over. We had both taken three weeks off to move and finish up big stuff in our new home, and now our time is almost up. Back to work again on Monday… Time has gone by way too fast. But well, now we can enjoy living in our new home.

So as usual, I’ve combined my Friday 56 with Friday Book Beginnings !! So let’s get started on that !

Friday 56 is hosted by Freda’s Voice and Friday Book Beginnings by Rose City Reader.

I just got started on this book two days ago and I can’t seem to let it go. When I open the book I get lost in the pages and everything around me falls away. Which is not always a good thing according to my husband, but for me it is amazing. What I love about this book, aside from being back into the Shadowhunter world, is that I have no clue what is going to happen next. Yes, of course some bits are to be expected, but most of it is just blank. I can’t fill in how things are going to end, which is becoming rarer for me and I love that. I love guessing and not knowing how the story is going to continue. Just great !! But well.. as I already spoiled, this week’s book is..

 FIRST Sentence.
Shadow Market night were Kit’s favorite.
They were the nights he was allowed to leave the house and help his father at the booth. He’d been coming to the Shadow Market since he was seven years old. Eight years later he still felt the same shock and wonder when he walked down Kendall Alley through Old Town Pasadena towards a blank brick wall – and stepped through it into an explosive world of color and light.

 PAGE 56.
She nodded at him. He was looking at her with faint concern, which was a relief. It felt familiar. Did he really look so different? He was less thin, more muscular, though it was a slender sort of muscle. He looked like the swimmers she had always admired for their spare beauty. He still wore the same arrangement of leather and shell and the sea-glass bracelets around his wrists, though. His hands were still spotted with paint. He was still Julian.

I hope I made you a bit curious about this book if you’re not reading it already.. ^^ Have a great and wonderful weekend.

    1. I did like TMI, but I do think TID is better ^^ Though TMI does get better, especially after the third book.. mainly because it starts to intertwine more with TID..
And they make a lot of references to the war that happens at the end of TMI.. worth to finish before starting on this one !
Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend !!

    1. Haha, I could only recommend this one though if you've read the other ones... Otherwise you will miss too much background information ! So instead, you should read The Infernal Devices for example ^^
      Thanks for visiting !!
