FRIDAY 56 & Book Beginnings 08.04.16.

Friday 56 is hosted by Freda’s Voice and Friday Book Beginnings by Rose City Reader.

Hello everybody !! Almost weekend woohooh !! I’ve had a very busy week this time, especially at work but socially as well. So unfortunately I had not much time to read.. But I did finish Rebel Spring yesterday evening !! But first, the last day of work for this week and because it’s Friday, this means another Friday 56 & Book Beginnings !!

So I found a book this week that I’ve not made up my mind about in the last couple of days I’ve been reading it. I adore the writer, I’ve read almost all of her work.. but lately, the books she released, are not as great as her older work was. Which really sucks, but I hope this book will be a good one again. But so far I’m not really impressed and it is not that special. But I’m only at 17%.. So I hope it will get better. But because it was released this week and I’m a big Richelle Mead fan I’ve got to share this one with you.. So without any more prolonging, here is my book for this week .

FIRST Sentence.
I’ve never planned on stealing someone else’s life.
Really at glance, you wouldn’t think there was anything wrong with my old life. I was young and healthy. I liked to think I was clever. I belonged to one of the noblest families in Osfrid, one that could trace its bloodline back to the country’s founders. Sure, my title might have been more prestigious if my family’s fortune hadn’t evaporated, but that was easily fixed. All I had to do was marry well.
And that was where my problems started.

56%.
Jasper strolled up beside his brother. “My goodness. We rarely entertain gentlemen of such standing. I don’t suppose you’re looking for a wife?”
Silas Garrett didn’t crack a smile. “No, but I’m here looking for a woman.”
I don’t know how I knew then, but suddenly, I just did. My whole body stiffened, and I felt Cedric’s hand clasp mine under the table. I didn’t dare look at him, but I understood the message: Stay calm.

I hope I made you a bit curious about this book.. ^^ Have a great and wonderful weekend !!

  2. I dislike when authors newer books aren't as good as there earlier work. Makes me think that they are just shelling books out for money and not the content. I do want to read her books though!

  6. Oh I hate when a favorite author's work just doesn't live up to what I expect from them. I've seen some mixed reviews on this one unfortunately.
